As much as I like my Sigma 20mm 1.8 lens the offensively noisy auto focus mechanism really drives me crazy sometimes. The whole method of switching between auto and manual focus is also a bit of a nuisance. I really do not like how easy it is for the focus ring to slide around but that is just me. When it comes to actually image quality, nothing can touch this lens in low light conditions. I went to a concert with this lens where the lights were dimmed during an acoustic performance and was still able to capture very sharp photos. I think this would be the ideal lens for people that want to take great indoor photos in situations where they cannot use a flash. I recon the lens would also do quite well with night time photos of the sky although I have not yet tried this out for myself.
